Wilson County Tennessee Disaster Trailer Deployed –
The following message was received from AKC REUNITE on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 related to the disastrous fires in eastern Tennessee:
“Good afternoon all,
I hope everyone who lives in Tennessee is staying safe with their family and pets. I wanted to let you know if you are seeking shelter, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency asked the Cleveland-Bradley Emergency Management to mobilize their AKC Pet Disaster Relief Trailer. The trailer is on the way to a shelter at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge where the county will have staff and volunteers assisting. The Wilson County Animal Response Team trailer your club so generously supported is also on the way to the Gatlinburg area to assist and setup a pet shelter. We are still waiting to hear where their trailer will be setup and I will let everyone know when I find out.
Thank you all again for your generous support in getting a trailer out to Tennessee. Because of your donations, pet owners can now bring their pets to the shelter and keep them and themselves safe.
Everyone stay safe!
